Your confidence in our ability to maintain and protect your personal data is important to us, and we’re committed to keeping your data confidential and secure, and using it only for the purposes for which it was collected. While we comply with laws ensuring transparency, there are exceptions to what can be disclosed. Unless required by law or authorized by you, your information won’t be shared with others. By visiting the DERP.org website and/or accessing the MyDERP.org portal, you agree to the practices outlined in this policy.

1. Collection of Information
We don’t collect personal information unless you voluntarily participate in an activity that asks for it, for example sending an email or accessing the MyDERP.org portal. The DERP.org website is available to you without registration or the need to provide any information. However, to view your information in DERP.org you must provide a username and password. Access to your information is restricted to DERP staff and contractors working on behalf of DERP who are bound by confidentiality obligations.

When you visit the DERP.org website or access your MyDERP.org account, we automatically record technical and navigational information, such as computer browser type, internet protocol (IP) address, pages visited, and average time spent on each page. This information is collected for analysis and statistical purposes and isn’t reported or used in any manner that would reveal personally identifiable information. We won’t release any information to outside parties unless legally required to do so.

2. Sharing of Information
Any information you supply is considered private and isn’t available to others for any purpose. We’re the sole owner of any information collected, and we don’t sell, share, rent, or otherwise distribute this information.

3. Your Responsibilities
It’s crucial to recognize that you too play a significant role in safeguarding your personal information. Your username and password allow you to securely access your MyDERP.org account and it’s your responsibility to protect them. Do not share your MyDERP.org account username or password. Notify us immediately if an unauthorized person obtains access to your MyDERP.org account username and/or password or if unauthorized activity is discovered.

We’re not responsible for the use or disclosure of any personal information accessed by any company or person to whom you provide your MyDERP.org account username and password. If you provide your username and password to a third-party, we will consider that you’ve authorized all transactions or actions initiated, whether you’re aware of a specific transaction or action or not.
